School Visits in Spain 2016

Science went to school: 3DNET visited several schools in Spain in spring 2016.
Because we believe that is extremely important to raise awareness among the youngest about importance of scientific research...

‌This has been an awfully rewarding experience for all the 3D-NET staff involved (young and senior fellows, scientists in charge and even the project manager!!). A great and bi-directional Transfer of Knowledge between all of us and all the school kids (aged from 5 to 12)… You would not be able to tell which part learnt more from the other: we brought our experiments, presentations and microscopes to their classrooms and they rewarded us with lots of smart questions, thoughts and fab drawings about our work in the consortium.

After our “3DNET-show” we asked the children to make a drawing, write some thoughts or ask a question on a piece of paper. You can enjoy all their delightful entries at the links below:

Among the over 200 entries that we received, we chose 4 overall winners (which was a really hard task for us). Price was a DIY-Science book with lots of cool and easy experiments to do at home.

Below you can see the 4 wonderful pieces of art created by Sofía/5yrs, Diego/6yrs, Victor/7yrs and Elena/10yrs (from Top-Left to Bottom-Right).
