HIGHER DIPLOMA IN ARTS

If you already hold a BA degree or equivalent NFQ (National Qualifications Framework) Level 8 degree and wish to take an additional subject to degree level, you may be interested in the Higher Diploma in Arts.

In order to complete the Higher Diploma in Arts you will need to complete the following:

  • 70 credits in total (20 at Level 1 and 50 at Level 2 or above) - if you did not complete the subject you wish to add in 1st year of a BA (Honours) degree or equivalent already

OR

  • 60 credits at Level 2 or above - if you completed the subject you wish to add in 1st year of a BA (Honours) degree or equivalent already

PLEASE NOTE: A minimum of three semesters is usually necessary to complete the HDip in Arts but it may be possible in some circumstances to complete it in two.
