Improving Your Conversational Irish: 2
SPRING UN204
Wednesday
Tutor: Deirdre Moran
Students who have not taken the Autumn module are very welcome to attend.
This course will use RTÉ's highly popular multimedia Irish language course, Turas Teanga, as its basis for improving your conversational Irish. The emphasis will be on developing speaking and listening skills that will be useful and reflect everyday usage. Each class will involve a mixture of listening, reading and oral exercises with the main emphasis being on speaking the language in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere. Grammar will be touched on but in the context of the spoken language. It is intended for those who studied Irish at school, but may have had few opportunities to use it in recent years.
Some of the topics covered in Module 2 include Food and Drink, Shopping, The Media, Technology, Political and Social Affairs.
