General Well-being

Students

Attending university offers many exciting opportunities for you to learn and develop not just academically, but personally and socially too. There are many challenges associated with making the transition from school to university and from home to independent living.

As a person, as well as a student, you may find that you will encounter issues that affect your well-being. The important thing to remember is that the UCD Student Advisers are here for you in times of difficulty and we are happy to meet with you to talk things through. As well as offering one-to-one support, we can refer you to more appropriate services, if necessary.

The following is a list of some of the more common issues that you may face, and contains some suggestions on how to deal with them. Please remember that the information is provided to give a general outline and is not intended to be a definitive guide to any of the issues listed. If you feel that your well-being is being significantly affected by any issue you encounter, come and talk to one of us.

UCD ePub survey

The UCD e-Pub is an interactive web survey that allows UCD students to enter information about their drinking patterns and receive feedback about their use of alcohol. The assessment takes about 6-7 minutes to complete, is anonymous and self-guided, and requires no face-to-face contact time with any UCD staff members.
