The UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science are currently coordinating a Management Development Programme, organised for members of the Agricultural Science Association. The Agricultural Science Association is the professional body for graduates in agricultural, horticultural, forestry, environmental and food science. The programme will consist of three interactive and intensive half-day sessions aimed at providing both theoretical and practical insights into key issues in food and agribusiness. The sessions are facilitated by Professor Alan Renwick, Professor of Agricultural and Food Economics at UCD.

-Food sector an essential driver of economic growth- UCD has launched a new MSc in Food Business Strategy, which will begin in September 2014. The curriculum has been co-devised by UCD Smurfit School and UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science. The course will focus on developing students' strategic perspective on doing business within the industry, as well as their understanding of the sector within which food businesses operates.
