University College Dublin signs MOU with leading Chinese Dairy Producer (23/04/2012)
University College Dublin (UCD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a leading Chinese dairy producer Dairy United. The MOU which will result in multi-million euro contracts for products & services, envisages the development of a China-Ireland Agricultural demonstration farm in Hohhot, (Inner Mongolia) collaborative research projects, the provision of education, and training services, and collaboration on the creation of a trade corridor to facilitate the introduction of Irish exporters to the Inner Mongolian region. The Dairy United/UCD link was established through contacts made by Enterprise Ireland over the past 18 months.
Thousands of Second Level Agricultural Science Students Take to the Fields (22/03/2012)
Over 3,000 secondary school students studying Agricultural Science are participating in Agri Aware’s Farm Walk and Talk 2012 this week across the six Teagasc colleges and UCD Lyons Estate. Farm Walk and Talk provides students with an excellent understanding of the practical elements of the Agricultural Science syllabus. Farm Walk and Talk is organised by Agri Aware, in conjunction with Teagasc, IASTA and UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science.

UCD meet with China Agricultural University on Ministerial Trade Mission

A UCD delegation led by Professor Dolores O’Riordan met with their counterparts in China Agricultural University in Beijing as part of the Minister of Agriculture’s Trade Mission to China to agree the next phase of collaboration between the two universities.
