Application Process for Graduate Students
Funded Projects:
Projects listed under the Research Opportunities section are funded projects that provide an annual stipend to cover academic fees etc. Projects are listed as funding becomes available. The project details will specify if funding is available for a Masters or a PhD degree. Some Postdoctoral positions are also advertised. Further Postdoctoral vacancies are also available on the UCD Human Resources webpage.
If you are interested in applying for a project listed under Research Opportunities please contact the supervisor listed on the project details to discuss your application further.
Self-Funding:
If you have access to your own source of funding it is recommended that you try to make informal contact with a potential supervisor for your research. To locate an Academic with a research background relevant to your area of research interest please review the staff profiles on the Research Opportunities.
You will need to provide supporting documentation to demonstrate your source of funding. Please note that an additional Bench fee to cover laboratory costs may also be charged.
