Shaping the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS) – Through the Eyes of the Next Generation - Knowledge Transfer Conference 2018

The UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science in collaboration with Teagasc will host a conference entitled ‘Shaping the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS) – Through the Eyes of the Next Generation’ on Friday 28 th September 2018. The Conference will take place in the Conference Centre in Teagasc Ashtown, Dublin 15 from 9:00 – 16:00. It will share learning from the UCD/Teagasc Masters in Innovation Support and Agricultural Extension and Innovation Programmes on improving agri-environmental management, health and safety, profit and innovation through improved approaches to knowledge transfer; discussion groups, realising their potential; the role of knowledge transfer in dairy farming as well as how best to improve our agricultural education to the next generation of young farmers. This conference will appeal to all those working in public and private agricultural advisory and education services and be an important networking event for those interested in improving the processes of knowledge transfer in the farming sector.
