Research Interests
| The Equine Exercise Genomics Group uses functional and population genomic approaches to understand the genetic contributions to exercise adaptation and Thoroughbred athletic performance. Current interests and research projects include:
1) Genomic selection for exercise adaptation
2) Genetic variation and racecourse performance
3) Gene expression in skeletal muscle
4) Genetic association studies using the Equine SNP50BeadChip
5) Accurate phenotyping of exercise-relevant physiological traits for GWAS
