BA Stage 1 Semester 2 Registration

With Semester 1 complete, it is now time to reflect on your academic results and with that possibly amend your Semester 2 registration.

Online registration will remain open until 08:00am on 31st January 2018

Provisional Exam Results will be published on 24th January 2018.

REPEATS and RESITS

You will have the opportunity to register to Resits/Repeats after the release of Provisional Exam Results using SISWeb online Registration - For extensive information on exam results click here!. General information regarding remediation can be found on on this webpage. For information on fees and grants please contact Student Desk!

You should pay particular attention to progression requirements for your preferred subjects when deciding on taking any resit/repeats in Semester 2, or contact your Programme Office for advice.

SUBSTITUTION

You also have the opportunity of Substituting[1] failed Option or Elective modules where permitted, instead of resitting or repeating them. Please note that substitution fees will apply.

CHANGE OF SUBJECT STREAMS

You may also have the opportunity to drop or add a Subject Stream. This is dependent on places, eligibility and timetable restraints, and may carry time and/or fee implications. Please call in person to the Programme Office as soon as possible to discuss your options and complete the relevant Subject Change Form.

SUBJECT ACADEMIC ADVISORY SESSIONS – 29TH JANUARY 2018

To assist you in reflecting on your Programme choices, Academic Advisory sessions will be held at School level on Monday, 29th January 2018; see 2018 Programme of School Events for details. As you progress to Stage 2 you will be required to choose the two subjects you wish to continue with for your Joint Major degree. Some subjects also offer a Single Major degree. It is very important that you begin planning for the next stage of your degree now.

ARTS & HUMANITIES STUDENT CONTINUATION POLICY

Students who failed modules in Semester 1, will be contacted about those and may be invited to a meeting to discuss how the programme can support them in getting their studies back on track. This action links in with the wider University Policy on Continuation and Readmission which seeks to identify timely interventions in helping students progress in their studies.
