The number of candidates wishing to use their Cambridge English qualifications for immigration, employment and higher education continues to increase. Cambridge English exams are recognised by organisations as one of the most valuable and secure English language qualifications available.

Every person who takes a Cambridge English exam will be photographed on the day of their exam. You will be asked to bring a signed consent form with you on the day. If you are 17 or under, your  parent or guardian will have to sign this form: you will not be allowed to sit your exam if you do not  bring this form with you. We will email the form to you before your exam.

You must bring a valid ID document to all parts of your Cambridge examination. You will not be permitted to sit your examination without this. This must be the same ID document listed on your online application form.

Only the following types of ID document are permitted: Passport or EU National Identity Card or Photographic Driving Licence. Photocopies, expired ID, or other forms of identification such as GNIB cards, will not be accepted under any circumstances. Please note you will NOT be eligible for a refund or transfer if you do not bring the correct ID document to your exam.

The photo taken on the day of the test, along with the candidate’s result, name, date of birth and gender, will be available on the secure Online Results Verification website for use by organisations wishing to verify a result. Candidates will be able to control who can access their result and view their photo. Photographs are taken using special software provided by Cambridge Language Assessment. Files and photos are stored securely at all times and are only accessible by authorised exam centre staff using a secure login. For additional security, all files are encrypted. Once the photos have been transferred to Cambridge Language Assessment’s secure Online Results Verification site, all local copies of the encrypted files are deleted.
