UCD Pathway Programme

‌UCD offers a range of Pathway programmes designed to offer our students the best preparation for undertaking their degree studies at UCD.

For graduate students looking for an in-depth preparatory course before beginning their Master’s, UCD offers the International Pre-Master’s Programme Certificate and Diploma. These programmes will give students the opportunity to receive a University Diploma or Certificate while preparing for their chosen UCD Master's. The International Pre-Master's Programmes offer the flexibility of a one semester (Certificate) programme starting in January  or a two semester programme (Diploma) beginning in September. Students will attend classes on English for Academic Purposes, their academic subject area, thesis preparation with the opportunity to take Irish Cultural and Creative Thinking modules.

For students meeting the academic entry requirements of their chosen UCD Programme but needing to improve their English language proficiency,  we offer the Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes programme. These intensive courses run during the summer with students joining their chosen UCD degree programme in September upon successful completion. Please see here for more information.

Students in the final year of their undergraduate degree programme in one of our Chinese Partner Institutes can attend our Global Engagement Master’s Partnership Pathways. These programmes will allow students to complete their undergraduate studies at UCD while also preparing for their chosen UCD Master’s.
