Alumni Membership & Benefits

As a member, you can enjoy a range of varied benefits:

	Members are entitled to a Reader's Card for all UCD's libraries. The card is valid for the academic year, starting 1st October and expiring 30th September. *See note below.
	Members will receive a personal copy of the annual alumni magazine, UCD Connections. This magazine has served as a popular communication vehicle between the University and its alumni. Articles and news items from alumni have helped shape every edition of this magazine.
	Discount on VHI membership Members can avail of the VHI group scheme. This entitles members to a 10% discount on standard VHI prices. Telephone 1850 44 44 44 and quote the group scheme reference number 1/7863.
	Discount on Adult Education courses Members are entitled to a 10% discount (on Tuition Fee only) on courses run by the Adult Education Centre - Auditing a Course; Access Courses; Outreach Courses. For further information, contact the Adult Education Centre.
	Discount on the use of the Squash, Racquetball and Handball Courts and the Prestige 5-a-side/11-a-side artificial pitch and the floodlit synthetic grass tennis courts. These discounts are available through the UCD Sport Centre on production of your Alumni Membership card. For more information, contact UCD Sport.

* The Information Desk in the James Joyce Library in Belfield will issue a Reader's Card on presentation of an Alumni Membership Card. Reader's Cards are currently issued for three month blocks, renewable every 3 months thereafter at no extra cost, up to the expiry date of the alumni membership card.

	Alumni/Graduate rate available for use of the facilities within UCD Sport & Fitness - which houses the new 50M Olympic-size swimming pool, tepidarium and state-of-the-art gymnasium. Check out the facilities here and call in to UCD Sport & Fitness for your tour of the venue.
	UCD/Bank of Ireland affinity credit card. Alumni can avail of the UCD/BOI affinity credit card with special benefits for cardholders. Donations are made by BOI on your behalf to the UCD Alumni Fund. Download the Application form here.

	Assistance in organising reunions and events UCD Alumni Relations can provide assistance in organising your class reunion. The office will also help you to find any classmates that you have lost contact with, by forwarding on your information to them. For further information email alumni@ucd.ie or ring 01 716 1447.

Graduates of Architecture, Engineering and Medicine are automatically members of the Architecture Graduates' Asociation (AGA), Engineering Graduates’ Association (EGA) or the Medical Graduates’ Association (MGA) upon payment of the above subscription rates and will receive invitations relevant to Architecture/Engineering/Medical events held throughout the year.

To be eligible for membership, you must have completed at least one year at UCD at either undergraduate or graduate level. UCD staff, current and retired are also entitled to apply.

How to Join

The membership year runs from 1 October to 30 September. For applications made after May 31st, the membership will not expire until September 30th the following year.

Standard membership €30.00 – Join as Standard Member
Overseas membership (no charge) – Join as Overseas Member

Visit us in the Alumni Relations Office, fill in the membership form and received your card immediately. All alumni visiting Belfield campus are welcome to call in during office hours (9.30am-1.00 pm: 2.00pm-5.00 pm). The office is located in Room 102, Tierney Building, First Floor, Belfield, Dublin 4.
