Abstract
Two seasons of excavation (2004, 2005) have been carried out on
Templeteenaun, high in the Kings River Valley. The most recent season
(2005) was funded by the Royal Irish Academy. This site is a medieval
church associated with St Kevin’s Road. Discoveries have included the
church, cairns, burials, houses and laneways, along with medieval
pottery dating to the 13th and 14th century AD, metalwork, including a
rowel spur, and flintwork.
