Research Interests

My research revolves around three main areas. I welcome any potential MA/PhD students also interested in these subjects.

Civilisation of Minoan Bronze Age Crete

Archaeology and religion

Personal combat in the ancient world

I also maintain a long-term interest in Daoist philosophy and practice, and am currently working on a practical commentary of the Daodejing and the I-Ching with Dr Bruce Frantzis.
