Study With Us

UCD School of Archaeology is a friendly and exciting place to study. Archaeology provides a unique mixture of transferable academic and practical skills. It spans the arts, social sciences and the Sciences. At its simplest archaeology is about understanding the past through the evidence left behind by peoples' activities. This could be the objects they created and then lost or deliberately buried, it could be the traces left behind by their activities or it could be their physical remains. Becoming an archaeologist means being able to bring together the evidence, analyse that evidence and use that evidence to build a convincing story about what happened in the past.
