MS A 13: the Annals of the Four Masters

One of four volumes of the Annals of the Four Masters, two others being in the Royal Irish Academy and one in Trinity College Dublin Library, this manuscript contains the opening section of the AFM commencing with AM 2242 and ending with AD 1169. A significant portion of this volume is in the hand of Micheál Ó Cléirigh himself and has remained in Franciscan hands from the time of its first compilation. It was in St Isidore’s College, Rome during most of the nineteenth century and was brought back to Dublin in 1872.
