Handwritten account by J.R. Clark, a civil servant with the Office of Public Works, of his experiences during Easter Week, 1916, with specific reference to his difficulties in moving about the city, his personal observation of the fighting in Sackville Street and Rutland Square, and his return to work in the Customs House 'where we had to state all our doings'. Also includes some autobiographical notes. Recorded in a 1904 Letts desk diary. |
