COLLECTING FOLKLORE IN IAR-CONNACHT, JULY 1913

Barbour accompanied Dr Douglas Hyde and Alice Stopford-Green on a folklore collecting expedition in Galway in 1913. He visited many townlands in Iar-Connacht such as Clynagh and Tureena, and took photographs of the people of the area and of the vernacular architecture.
