Dublin City Archives has left the Civic Museum and is in the process of re-locating to Pearse Street Library, which has been restored by Dublin City Council to include purpose-built strongrooms with mobile shelving and air conditioning, a conference room, an exhibition centre, and a reading room with seats for 100 readers. This will be a joint facility with the Dublin and Irish Collections. The City Archives will be closed for a transitional period to allow for the secure transfer of our collections, including the Irish Theatre Archive, to the new location.
