Griffith's
Valuation of Ireland Online at the National Library of Ireland

On
Thursday 31 July, the National Library launched a new
web-based service in its reading room. Eneclann
Ltd and Origins.net,
in association with the National Library of Ireland, have
produced an online version of the complete Griffith's
Valuation of Ireland. It can be accessed on a pay-per-view
basis at <www.irishorigins.com>
and free of charge to readers in the National Library of
Ireland. The new online edition contains all the revisions and
amended version that were published during the seventeen-years
it took to complete the valuation. Users may search a database
of personal and place names and then access scanned images of
the original published pages.
