I have recently returned to UCD to pursue a Research Masters in the field of Biological and Environmental Science – Environmental DNA – The Future Potential for Crime Scene Examination. In 2013 I completed a BSc in UCD in Management and Leadership. I am a currently the Head of the Garda National Forensic Coordination Office and based Garda Headquarters. My 26 years of service has predominantly been spent in serious crime investigation and crime scene examination. I have worked in National and International arenas and am qualified in advanced examination techniques, crime scene management and evidence retrieval.

I am also heavily committed to community and conservation development work in Africa. I am the Chairman of the International NGO Friends From Ireland and the Director of Research and Development of the Galana Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya. I am also the Director of Research and Development of Kulalu Camp, in Galana Kenya, which serves as a field research station for the Galana-Kulalu area, within the Tsavo eco-system.
