The symposium was well attended with the Irish Ambassador to Greece, His Excellency Antoin MacUnfraidh present among the audience. The Irish Ambassador is a renowned supporter of the Irish Institute events.  The Director of the American School of Classical Studies, Jack Davis, also attended the book exhibition later at the Gennadius Library and he spoke of the importance of such collaborative ventures and the continuing importance of scholarship which concentrates on the collection at the Gennadius Library.   A future publication of the proceedings of this one-day symposium is planned.
