Biography:

Dr Conor
Lucey is an architectural and design historian whose research interests are
broadly centered upon the domestic architecture and material culture of eighteenth century Britain and Ireland. His current research, concerning the agency of English craftsmen in Ireland, has been grant aided by the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art (Yale University). He is the author of The Stapleton collection: designs for the Irish neoclassical interior, published in 2007 by Churchill House Press in association with the National Library of Ireland, and curated the accompanying exhibition, entitled Decorating the Georgian Interior, at the Irish Architectural Archive. Conor Lucey is current editor of Irish Architectural and Decorative Studies, the journal of the Irish Georgian Society. |
