Part-time Evening Degree Art History
As part part of its continuing involvement in the BA part-time (evening) degree programme the School will be offering Level 1 Art History in 2012-13. The modules proposed are as follows -
There are two core lecture modules this year worth 5 credits each:
- AH10080 Art in Europe 1300-1600 (autumn)
- AH10090 Art in Europe 1600-1920 (spring)
Together they offer an introductory survey of European art from the Renaissance to the birth of Modern Art.
In addition, there are two further supportive seminar modules also worth 5 credits each:
- AH10100 Studies in European Art 1 (autumn)
- AH10110 Studies in European Art 2 (spring)
Each consists of an extended seminar incoroprating further lectures, student presentations and class discussions. The material covered complements the topics covered in the core lecture courses. These supportive seminar modules can only be taken in conjunction with the core lecture courses.
