We celebrate a number of awards at this event as we acknowledge the people who have helped us to become Ireland’s leading business school. We rely on the generous support of our boards and donors to help us cement our position as one of the world’s leading business schools. Primarily this will involve recruiting more world class faculty but also providing the facilities our students need to study to the best of their abilities. Everyone has a role to play in rebuilding Ireland’s position in the world economy and, by investing in our most valuable asset, our students, we can achieve this goal together.
The ‘Alumnus of the Year’ award is the highest honour that UCD School of Business can bestow on a graduate. The awards commenced in 1991 and are presented to individuals demonstrating the ultimate in professional achievement in their chosen business arena.
The Outstanding Alumnus Awards honour graduates of the under and post graduate programmes offered by UCD School of Business. Recipients must have demonstrated proven leadership skills, notable achievement in business and a significant contribution to the community, whether in Ireland or abroad. In celebration of our centenary year in 2009, we announced our inaugural UCD Quinn School of Business Alumnus of the Year.
