Weeks 9 & 10

3-14 Nov

You might notice that with all the assignments that you haven’t been attending as many lectures and tutorials as you should have been and maybe feeling a bit behind with classes. Many students worry that it might be too late to start re-attending. It is never too late to start going back to lectures and tutorials.

For you it will be a time of…

  • Recommitting to attending your lectures and tutorials
  • Revisiting Blackboard and checking through your modules to see if you are on track with your learning and talk to your module coordinators if you need support in any academic area.
  • Meeting your Peer Mentor group – your Peer Mentor will be in touch to organize a final meeting this side of the Christmas break to see help set you up for the exams. Do go along and ask whatever questions you have about the exam set up in UCD.
  • Seek help with your academic writing by attending a drop-in writing clinic (for those taking subjects in the College of Arts & Celtic studies). See Drop-in Writing Clinics November 2014 for more details.
  • Participating in Arts Day – this is a special day organized by Arts Soc with loads of fun and events in and out of the Newman Building. Watch out for advertising around the Newman Building around this time. And more information for Arts Day 2014 can be found on Facebook here
