Facilities in Beijing
Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC) is located on the Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) campus, located in south-eastern Beijing. The university campus occupies an area of more than 80 hectares and has a built floor area totalling about 700,000 square metres.
Sport clubs and societies
There are many clubs and societies available to students at BDIC. You can choose from a range of recreational pursuits including sports, music and debating.
The BJUT library is a modern complex occupying a floor area of more than 20,000 square meters. The library houses about 700,000 printed materials, 60,000 e-books and more than 40 resource databases available for teaching and research. The library, in close collaboration with the Capital Library of Beijing and the Information Centre of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, provides professional service to students and faculty.
There are excellent facilities and services available to students. The BJUT campus is very close to many shopping malls and supermarkets. Being located in a capital city also means that there are excellent medical services with many good public hospitals and pharmacies.
The BJUT Gymnasium is the only Olympic venue located in Beijing's south eastern area. At the 2008 Olympic Games, it served as the Badminton and Rhythmic Gymnastics venue. The BJUT Gymnasium boasts the world's largest pre-stressed suspension dome which contains a ceiling that is 93m in diameter.
