Bord na Gaeilge UCD

Irish Language Residence Scheme: Teach na Gaeilge

UCD's mini-Gaeltacht, first established in 2000, offers students a unique experience. Students from various subject areas have the opportunity to live and work together as Gaeilge, while further developing their individual talents through a range of social and cultural activities. Bord na Gaeilge offers scholarships to 24 students who are fluent Irish speakers and who have the desire and the ability to initiate projects which promote the use of the language.

The 2017-18 Irish language residence scheme competition is now closed.

Bord na Gaeilge UCD was awarded the European Language Label 2016 for its Irish Language Student Residence Scheme.
