UCD Boat Club |
Morning in Islandbridge Old Collegians Boat ClubRowing in and being part of the Boat Club can be a hugely rewarding and enjoyable experience. On leaving UCD, many oarsmen wish to continue rowing either competitively or at a more social level. Either option can be pursued by graduate membership of UCDBC or membership of Old Collegians Boat Club. Old Collegians Boat Club (OCBC) is the alumni Club of UCD Boat Club and is open to all, non graduates of UCD included. The membership however, is predominantly made up of UCDBC alumni. OCBC specialises in Masters (Veteran) rowing, however there are also several Senior oarsmen actively rowing in OCBC and the two clubs frequently row together. OCBC also rows out of the UCD Boathouse in Islandbridge. For those who do not wish to or cannot continue being actively involved on the water, there are numerous ways of staying involved, such as coaching, helping with the running of the Gannon Cup / Dublin Head, professional support, financial support through the Graduate Fund or committee membership to name a few.
