Fault Reporting

The improvement of the system and cabling structures has greatly reduced the amount of faults on the UCD telephone network. Unfortunately no system is fault free. If you have detected that your extension is not working properly, or you are experiencing any problem with your telephone facilities, here are a few tips that will make the correction much quicker:

  • Is it an extension or Voice Mail related problem?
  • Has it happened more than once?
  • Does it happen when you ring or when you receive calls?
  • Are any numbers (other than yours) involved?
  • Are you part of a queuing system, call pick up/hunt group, or voice menu system?
  • Have you unplugged the handset from the socket? If so, for how long?

The more accurate and specific the information you provide, the easier it will be to identify the fault and correct it.
