Cars
UCD can accommodate over 3,000 cars at any particular time. Every year, there are a number of cars either broken into or stolen on campus. By taking certain precautions, this problem can be reduced.
- Always take the key out of the ignition, roll the windows up and lock the doors whenever you park your vehicle
- Keep packages and valuables out of sight
- Never hide spare keys in any accessible places
- Install locks that deter thefts, such as: A "cane" or "J-bend" lock
What to Do if your Car is Stolen
If you discover that your vehicle has been stolen, call the local Donnybrook Garda Station (01 6669200) immediately. Speed is essential in recovering stolen cars. Also, contact the UCD First Response Room on extension 1200 (01 716 1200 if using your mobile).
Remember to wear yourseat belt when you drive.
Never drink and drive!
