Walking on Campus

The UCD Belfield Campus aims to be a safe and secure environment. However, due to the scale of the campus, people sometimes feel uncomfortable walking through it alone.
Should you feel uncomfortable about walking alone on campus please call the First Response Room at extension 1200 (01 716 1200 if using your mobile). An escort can be provided as soon as there is somebody available to offer one.

To arrange a security escort:

Ring extension 1200 (01 716 1200)
Give the operator your exact location
Your contact number and your name so we can contact you

Make sure to call ahead as it may take up to 15-20 minutes for your escort to arrive. Due to an emergency, we may be unavailable to respond to a request immediately.
Please wait for your escort once you have called.

For insurance purposes, the mobile patrols are not in a position to give lifts, but can provide an escort on foot.
