eFinancials Access

To be provided with access to the eFinancials application you must complete the ‘eFinancials User Access Application Form’. Please note that this form is supplementary to the UCD Administrative Systems – Request for Access Form,
(which can be accessed through the Administrative Services Tab within UCD Connect)

Login Instructions for eFinancials

Efinancials 4.1 requires the following software to be installed. If accessing eFinancials 4.1 for the first time, please click here (and accept defaults).

Password Management

Users are required to change their password upon first logon to eFinancials. An alpha numeric combination is recommended, with a minimum of six characters.

Please note if you have entered your password incorrectly on several consecutive attempts (or forgotten your password), it is recommended that you contact the Finance Systems Team to have your password reset immediately.
You should not attempt to log in more that 4 times incorrectly, as this will result in your account being locked, and the re-set action which is carried out by the Finance Office will not be successful

First-time Users

  • You will be prompted to download Jinitiator.exe, this java applet is required to run the Efinancials application. Please click on "Download now" link and follow the installation instructions.
  • If you have not previously used Adobe Acrobat Reader you will also be asked to download this application. Just follow installation instructions.
  • For POP printing you must install the eFinancials2.2.exe. We recommend HP laser printers, (printers must be networked). Please note printers must be 100% PCL5 compatible.
  • Please ensure that the url's "" and "" are added to your pop up blockers as valid pop up's. This will ensure that your pop up blocker do not prevent efinancials from starting on your p.c.
  • After you have installed the applications the Efinancials Blue Background screen should pop up together with the following login screen. You are now ready to use the application.
  • To view scanned invoices in Efinancials you will need to install the following software (it is recommended that you use Internet Explorer):
