Commencement of Enabling Works for Sutherland School of Law
Enabling works for the new Sutherland School of Law are due to commence in August 2010. The building will be located beside the Quinn School of Business and it will create modern teaching and research space designed to support the study and practice of legal skills. Recognising the close proximity to the UCD academic core and student residences, every effort will be made to minimize disruption over the construction period.
The development will include an Enabling Works package which will take place from August–December 2010, and will be followed by the main construction works in late 2010.
Key activities which will occur over the next few weeks will include:
- Adjustment of car park 5C adjacent to Quinn School of Business and Chaplaincy car park: August 2010. This will not affect car park capacity.
- Trench works for diverted and new utilities from early August onwards.
- Road realignment works.
- Erection of site hoarding.
