UCD Science Centre Infrastructure Development
The primary structural frame, atrium stairs, roof steelwork and cladding for the new UCD Science East Building is well advanced. The mechanical and electrical installation has also commenced.
The replacement of the UCD Science Hub cladding and refurbishment of two large-scale UCD Science Hub lecture theatres are underway.
It is anticipated that the UCD Science East and Hub teaching facilities will be operational for September 2013 while other elements including fit-out of CASL, Clarity & ESI accommodation, the Science Welcome Centre, and the west end of Science South is expected to be complete by Spring 2014.
The primary structural frame for the new Systems Biology Building has also been erected, while cladding and M&E works have commenced. The construction works are proceeding in line with the overall programme. It is anticipated that Science Link phase 2 will be complete by Summer 2013.
