ADVERTISING VACANCIES

UCD Career Development Centre offers a vacancy advertising service. When we receive internship, volunteering and graduate vacancies from bona fide sources, we advertise these on our searchable database normally within one working day of receipt. When appropriate, we target specific groups of students with vacancy details.

CareersConnect

CareersConnect is our online vacancies database, used by UCD students and graduates. It requires employers to register to post vacancies and internships. It offers the following features:

  • It allows for full length job descriptions, similar to many other recruitment sites. (Our previous jobs board only allowed for short descriptions.)
  • Once you are registered as an employer, it allows you to easily change closing dates for a vacancy, renew a vacancy or add new vacancy.
  • It allows you to create a full employer profile, allowing you to promote and position your company to students.

You can access the CareersConnect Portal by visiting: https://careersconnect.ucd.ie. A guide to registering and using the system is available below:

UCD Careers Connect - Employer Guide

Typically, it takes one working day for vacancies to go live on the CareersConnect portal.

Policy on Advertising Vacancies:

View the Career Development Centre's full Vacancy Handling Policy, UCD Career Development Centre here.

Recruitment Agencies should note in particular that we are happy to work with them in cases where employers engage the services of a recruitment agency to exclusively manage and screen applications on their behalf. We will publish a vacancy on behalf of a recruitment agency when the name of the client is passed to us. This is not passed to students/job applicants but allows us to quality assure the opportunities we are promoting.

If you require information on our vacancy service please contact Jessica Coyle, Vacancy and CRM Assistant at careers@ucd.ie or by calling 01-7167573.

MBA RECRUITMENT

The MBA Programme is the flagship programme of the UCD Smurfit Graduate Business School, the only business school in Ireland to hold triple accreditation and to be ranked in the Financial Times and Global Intelligence Unit's highly competitive global ranking. Participants on the UCD Smurfit School MBA programme undergo a rigorous selection process to gain admission, based on their personal and professional experience, their intellectual ability, their motivation, leadership potential, and the contribution they make to business and society.

Our MBA Participants represent a cultural diversity and variety of backgrounds from engineering to financial services, sales and marketing to technology. These individuals are dedicated to the enhancement of their careers and their contributions to organisations like yours.

If you'd like to learn more about how to engage, such as by submitting a project to the MBA Consulting Initiative or viewing the online CV Book, contact Brian Marrinan, MBA Careers Manager at brian.marrinan@ucd.ie. or call him on 01 716 8926.

POST-DOCTORAL RECRUITMENT

As a research intensive university, UCD is host to many post-doctoral researchers across all academic disciplines, but particularly within the Sciences. A significant number of PhD graduates with experience of research at post-doctoral level go on to employment in the private sector, where their highly developed analytical and problem solving skills and their contribution to innovation in a knowledge-based economy are invaluable.

If you are interested in engaging with post-doctoral researchers please contact Mark Cumisky, Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Adviser, at mark.cumisky@ucd.ie.
