Biography:
| Ph.D (UCC) 1986 Lecturer (UCD) since 1983 Currently Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematical Sciences Co-director of the Postgraduate Computational Science Program Member of the UCD Centre for Meterology and Climate Research |
Research Interests
| Dr. Ted Cox's primary research focus is nonlinear wave-propagation phenomena. Particular interests include resonant acoustic oscillations, dense gas dynamics, non-classical shock waves and thin film flows. The mathematics involved includes perturbation techniques, asymptotic analysis of partial differential equations, dynamical system theory and numerical simulations. |
