Biography:
I have been a lecturer in UCD since 2003. My background is in electrical engineering (Kevin St., DIT, 1986). I also have a Masters in Management Science from the Smurfit School of Business (UCD, 2005). The topic of this dissertation was the Polyhedral Approach to Telecommunications Networks Design Problems. I have considerable experience in both academia and industry. Prior to joining UCD I worked as a Software Developer with the ESB, in Quality Assurance with DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) and in Business Planning and Management (an MIS role) with eircom. I have also lectured in DCU. |
Research Interests
| I am interested in optimisation techniques, focusing on applications of Integer Programming techniques to network optimisation problems. I am a member of ENOG, the European Network Optimisation Working Group of EURO (the Association of European Operational research Societies). |
