Biography:

Seán
is Director of the UCD Smurfit Graduate School of Business MSc in Business
Analytics. He has supervised one PhD student to completion and has two more in progress. He has supervised 30 MSc Business
Analytics theses; these MSc theses are carried out in conjunction with industry. He has served as Irish Representative on the EURO Council since 2009. He is VP (International) of the Management Science / Analytics Society of Ireland. He is a member of the ACM Special Interest Group on Evolutionary Computation. International collaborators include Prof Terry Harrison of Penn State University, President of INFORMS, on Service Science; and Prof Martine Labbé and Bernard Fortz of Université Libre, Bruxelles, on telecommunications network design. Funded research projectsSFI-funded NCRA EDGE project (research supervision on Workpackage 1). Steering group for the UCD Thematic PhD on Development, funded by Irish Aid.
