Wednesday, 16 July 2014

In March of 2014 our Thai, Senior Researcher Dr Kanlaya Prapainop of the CBNI was selected to participate in the 64th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings dedicated to Physiology & Medicine.

Earlier this month Dr Prapainop traveled to Lindau & Mainau Island, Germany for this prestigious event.

Dr Prapainop was part of a select group of young talented researchers from around the world to join this years meeting, and take benefit from the extraordinary opportunity to discuss and share knowledge and experiences with up to 40 Nobel Laureates and establish connections for future collaboration to improve future research in medicine.

As part of this success, Dr Prapainop had the opportunity to meet and welcome Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhor the Thai Princess.

Dr Prapainop joined Prof. Kenneth A. Dawson's research team in the CBNI in November 2011 as a visiting scientist supported by a European Science Foundation award and more recently became a Postdoctoral Fellow (May 2012), funded by the Irish Research Council.
