Scholarship Success at CBNI - Chinese Academy of Sciences

Tuesday, 2 June 2015

CBNI are delighted to announce recent successes in the Chinese Scholarship Scheme for two outstanding candidates namely Kai Liu and Jingji Li, both of whom intend to undertake a PhD with the Centre for BioNano Interactions over the coming period. The Chinese Scholarship Study Abroad Program is a national scholarship program to fund outstanding Chinese students to study at some of the top universities in the world.

Kai has been based in Ireland since 2014, and received his formal education through the East China Normal University, while Jingji came to Ireland in 2012 and gained her Master's Degree in Biotechnology in the School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science, UCD, in 2014.

Overall, these individual successes will serve to strengthen the collaborative relationship that the Centre for BioNano Interactions, and indeed Prof. Dawson (who is recognised as a Distinguished Foreign Professor of Chinese Academy) has with the Chinese Academy of Science.

We look forward to welcoming both Kai and Jingji to the CBNI PhD Research cohort.
