Jennifer Cookman Named Best Speaker at Limerick Microscopy Society Symposium

The 39th Microscopy Society of Ireland Symposium was held in University of Limerick this year, exhibiting a wide range of research in many areas of microscopy in the fields of chemistry, physics, biology, and materials science. Jennifer Cookman, who is a PhD student of Prof. Kenneth A. Dawson in the Centre for BioNano Interactions (CBNI), presented her work on “TEM Tomography of Anisotropic Gold Nanoparticles to Develop a Novel Method for Acquiring Numerical Parameters” during this 3 day symposium, with which she won best speaker in the materials science category.
