André Potti

joined the Center for BioNano interactions as a Master student in October 2012. His research is focused on the bionano-interactions of nanoparticles, with special emphasis on the study and characterization of the protein-corona of nanoparticles formed in different biological fluids.  From this information it will be possible to connect the different physico-chemical properties of nanomaterials with the nature of the corona and apply this knowledge to understanding and predicting the interaction between nanoparticles and cells and tissues.

André graduated from Universidade de Vigo in Biology, with his studies oriented towards biotechnology. At UCD Conway Institute he received training in Flow Cytometry from Dr. Alfonso Blanco over several weeks prior to commencing his MSc. Studies.
