Bogumila Reidy
joined CBNI in April 2011 as a visiting student, and she started her PhD in September of the same year. Her research focuses on nanoparticlers uptake, localisation and impact in relation to cells cycle and cell density. She works both on blood-brain barrier model, optimised in CBNI, and simple cell models using flow cytometry and imaging techniques. Bogumila is funded through EU 7th framework programme, Marie Curie Actions, Network for Initial Training NanoTOES (PITN-GA-2010-264506)”.
Bogumila graduated with MSc in Biotechnology on Warsaw University of Life Sciences in 2008. Her thesis concerned environmental biotechnology. After her studies Bogumila was working in a group investigating in vivo impact of nanoparticles, which developed her interest in this area of science.
