Delyan Rumenov Hristov
first joined Centre for BioNano Interactions as a visiting student in October 2010 followed by a second visit in March 2011 both funded by the ESF, Epitope map program. He started his PhD in CBNI in August 2011 and his work is focused on nanoparticle synthesis and biofunctionalization towards biological applications. During his studies Mr. Hristov has worked at Sofia University, on titania photocatalyst synthesis and at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences on production of titania nanofibers via electrospinning. He graduated with his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Sofia University in July 2011 with a Bachelor’s thesis on the synthesis and biofunctionalization of silica nanoparticles.
