Francesco Muraca

joined the Centre for BioNano Interactions as a Visiting Student in November 2014, and started his PhD in May 2015. His research is focused on the cellular evaluation of nanoparticles. He works closely with Dr. Filippo Bertoli in performing this study.

Francesco graduated in Biotechnology at the University of Padova (Italy) in 2012, and during his training period he had an internship at the Center of Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) in the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (Spain). He took a Master’s Degree in Industrial Biotechnology with a specialization in NanoBiotechnology at the University of Padova in 2014, with a thesis over the synthesis of new biocompatible polymeric nanoparticles and their effect on different cell lines.
