Vanya Petseva

Vanya joined the Centre for BioNano Interactions in April 2017 to start her PhD studies, funded by The Celtic Advanced Life Science Innovation Network (CALIN). Her PhD project is related to the physiochemical and biological characterization of nanostructured materials derived from natural processes.

She graduated from Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy at Sofia University with a BSc in Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials in 2015 and then started a Master program in Disperse Systems in Chemical technologies. During her studies, Vanya used to work as an undergraduate research associate in the Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering on industrial projects with BASF (Germany) and the R&D centers of Unilever (USA, China, UK). Her final projects were related to the solubility and the phase behaviour of carboxylate solution.
