Anna Hallerbach

has started at CBNI as a visiting student in January 2011 and as a PhD student in May of the same year. Her research consists of the quantitative description of nanoparticles in blood brain barrier cells, including the type of motion inside the cell and the waiting times at and between different locations. Anna works closely with Christoffer Aberg and Mattia Bramini. Anna graduated with a BSc in Cognitive Science from the University of Osnabrueck (Germany) in 2008. Following a 6 month internship at Frauenhofer MeVis, where she developed, implemented and evaluated a new DTI quantification algorithm, she obtained a MSc in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology at Chalmers Technical University (Gothenburg, Sweden). Anna investigated the computational prediction of synergistic drug effects in glioblastoma in her thesis.
