Completing the Online Application Form - Graduate Certificate (GC)
Step 1:
Click on the following link www.ucd.ie/apply which will bring you to the UCD Online Application webpage. Here you will see a green circle marked Apply Online, which you should select.
Step 2:
If you have not used this system before, you will need to create an account by selecting First time user account creation, which appears at the bottom of the screen. You will then be asked to choose a Login ID number and Pin (please ensure that you make a note of this information).
Step 3:
The next step is Select an Application Type. For the Graduate Certificate programme, select "Graduate Taught Courses" from the dropdown menu. Once you have selected your admission term i.e. the start date for your course, and entered your name, you will be directed to the Application Checklist.
Step 4:
The Application Checklist shows you the eight sections which you must complete. You can then work your way through the form, section by section: Name, Personal Information, Personal (Contd.), Permanent Address, Term Address, Programme Choice, Previous College, Declaration.
Under Programme Choice you will see a drop down menu, which includes all of the courses available under the FCCI Programme. Please ensure that you select the correct option, paying particular attention to the start date of your programme and whether you wish to take this course full time or part time.
To see which option to select from the “Programme Choice” menu, please choose which of the following options you wish to apply to:

Step 5:
Once you have completed the application form, you will be asked to make an application fee payment. All applicants are required to pay a €45 application fee when paying online. This covers multiple applications for the same session. Applicants who wish to pay by cheque or postal order will be subject to an additional handling fee of €5.
Step 6:
Within one working day you will receive an acknowledgement email for your application which notifies you of your application number and lists the documents you need to submit.
The link in the email will give you further specific instructions. You are not required to send in an original transcript at this stage. You can log back into your application at any time and click on the application to view its status.
