About Us
The Centre for Emergency Medical Science (CEMS) was established by UCD in 2001 as a Teaching, Research and Academic Centre to provide a national centre of excellence for research, development and training in pre-hospital emergency care.
The Centre is located in the Health Sciences Centre at the UCD School of Medicine & Medical Science in Belfield, Dublin 4
The principal activities of CEMS are:
- Diploma in EMS / Grad Dip EMS / MSc EMS (Immediate Care) / MSc EMS (Advanced Paramedic)
- The MERIT Project - Medical Emergency Responders: Integration & Training
- Immediate Care Courses: Cardiac / Trauma / Paediatrics
